Venture Farther Photography – RAW File Release Agreement

By downloading or receiving RAW (unedited) image files from Venture Farther Photography, the client agrees to the following terms:

1. Nature of RAW Files

RAW image files are unfinished, unprocessed digital negatives captured directly from the camera. These files have not been edited, color corrected, or finalized and therefore do not represent the final artistic vision or quality standards of Venture Farther Photography.

2. Editing and Image Alterations

By receiving RAW files, the client acknowledges they may choose to edit or process the images themselves or through a third party.

However, the client agrees that:

  • Edited versions of these RAW files must not be represented as work created or edited by Venture Farther Photography.

  • Venture Farther Photography is not responsible for the quality, color accuracy, or artistic outcome of any edits performed by the client or another editor.

3. Credit and Attribution

If the client chooses to share edited images publicly (including on social media, websites, or marketing materials), they agree that:

  • Images must not be credited to Venture Farther Photography as the editor unless the edits were completed by Venture Farther Photography.

  • If credit is given for photography, it should clearly state:
    Photo by Venture Farther Photography | Edited by Client

4. Limitation of Liability

Venture Farther Photography is not liable for any dissatisfaction, misrepresentation, or negative perception resulting from edits performed by the client or third parties.

5. Copyright

All RAW image files remain copyright of Venture Farther Photography unless otherwise stated in writing.

The client is granted a personal usage license to use the images for personal purposes including:

  • Social media

  • Personal printing

  • Personal websites

RAW files may not be sold, redistributed, licensed, or submitted to publications, contests, or commercial use without written permission.

6. No Quality Guarantee on RAW Files

RAW files are delivered as-is and may contain:

  • Uncorrected color

  • Exposure inconsistencies

  • Test frames or duplicates

  • Unculled images

Venture Farther Photography does not guarantee usability of every RAW file provided.

7. Acceptance of Terms

Downloading or receiving RAW files constitutes full acceptance of these terms.
